PRINTED BOOKS art direction

As art director for trend forecasters SCOUT, I researched, edited, designed and produced 38 seasonal fashion colour and trend reports. These internationally acclaimed books forecast for Men, Women, Casualwear (unisex) and Lifestyle markets, each with their own distinct style. During these productive six years, the books naturally changed in design as the branding, content, page shape and size also evolved.




A lifestyle trend book exploring the world we live in and the things that surround us. Interiors, homewares, textiles, food, packaging, health, leisure, along with the people that live each of the trends forecasted. All with their own colour palettes and colour usage pages for clear direction.



Men's Colour and Trend book.

Each trend forecasted has their own colour palettes, mood spreads, styling and colour usage pages, along with accessories and print direction. Evolving design of these books meant the page size doubled, along with a complete re-branding.





Like the menswear reports, there are six trends forecasted in each book, all with their own fabric Pantone® swatched colour palettes, as well as mood spreads, styling, accessories and print direction. 



For this unisex book, the design incorporates inspiring graphics and eclectic use of typography, with the aim to appeal to a more youthful market of casualwear brands and designers.
