A key theme and inspiration is antiquity – be it classical architecture or ruins, precious artefacts or ancient Gods/statues. Placing these subjects in new environments, building pieces around the subject to tell a brand new story.

TEMPLE OF THE GODS
HOPE + HUMANITY STORM THE CHURCH
The horse represents Hope, the boy Humanity, as they ride towards a church made from a mix of different architectural styles and religions. On the altar we find a globe, to represent what could be a unifed spiritual world. Outside an electrical storm is brewing, causing Wisdom (in the form of a hawk) to fly towards knowledge (the light). Meanwhile the congregation is replaced by tourists, a statement of today’s times.
APOLLO'S RETURN
Apollo the horse, is ascending into the heavens high above clouds and mountains, towards the stairway up through the ancient arches.
ARMOUR AMOUR
A Classical-Greek scene, here on a discarded soldier’s shield, proof that love between men goes far beyond our modern society.
A NEW MYTHOLOGY
Blending contemporary architecture with ancient columns for an edgy view.
SECRET GARDEN
Architecture, statues and angels, are placed in a lush secret garden of mystery and magic. This photomontage was created as a companion piece for earlier work, RETURN TO EDEN (see below).
RETURN TO EDEN
Victorian arches are placed in a lush garden of Eden, complete with waterfalls and angels.
ANCIENT POOL
In a truly kismet moment, the pool image had arches in the water reflection, so worked perfectly in scale and style for the architecture created with all the columns and arches. The statue looks as though it's in the water, waiting to be discovered, like so many artefacts were pulled from the sea. Again, a lucky fluke the colour of the statue has a greeny tinge like the pool water.
IN DREAMS I WALK ON ROMAN ROADS
In a purple haze dream, walking Roman roads, past crystals, columns, statues (three of my favourite things).
KNEELING AT THE TEMPLE
This photomontage is an exploration of reflection and rebirth, where light and healing water combine to help manifest internal knowledge and acceptance for the bather. The antiquity setting suggests a nod to the beliefs of old.
YOU SHOWED ME LIGHT
The tourists meet at the top of a mountain, where rapids run past castle ruins and glass pyramids. Can you spot the statue standing in the middle of the water?

The couple on the gondola are floating on the river, in the golden hour, past ancient colonnades, and soon to pass through the statue gates... what does their fate hold?
