The gondolier is taking you to the portal entrance, a neon-lit passage, on the edge of an aqua lake. Four people have gathered and waiting for your arrival.
This analogue collage was licensed for the cover of ARIA-nominated album CULL PORTAL by Lance Gurisik – but with a change – the mountains and sky were converted to grey-scale. See homepage for details.
THE GATEKEEPER
The gatekeeper of the title is a large bird, guarding the entrance to the portal. A couple is ascending the stairs, will they be let in?

TREE OF THRONES
A huge throne made from twisted tree bark and Medieval swords, rises above a lakeside chateau in front of dramatic and icy mountains. A gold disc symbolises the pagan ancestry, while tourists photograph their surroundings from the ancient bridge.
the lover's myth
Creating a new mythology: beside the magical lake, we see the lovers, who were turned into trees for all eternity. The twisted bodies of tree-bark are touching in defiance of the curse.
the sacking of adereham
The aftermath of battle as dawn breaks, the armoured soldiers survey the beach under the natural rock arch, as debris is washed to shore. On the horizon, the sacked building is sinking, defeated and ravaged. A strange calm sets the sombre tone.

A homage to Sleeping Beauty, and the spell that was cast over everyone in the castle. Here we come across the castle, behind protective thorny branches.

A large crowd has gathered in the amphitheatre, to watch as fiery clouds swirl, conjuring an ancient God.

On a magical misty morning in the woods, we encounter a moment of metamorphosis: here the three witches are turning their bodies into trees, and their souls into birds, as they are about to take flight and flee the scene.
PORTAL TO EDEN
MAGIC WOODS
LET IT FLOW
Lit by moonlight, the water falls from high up in the mountains, flowing down through the rocks and under bridges, past statues and castles, to the wild sea below. A lone gondolier is docking at the door: an entrance point that leads to the pathway that will guide them up and through to the top of the mountains.
LAST MORTAL JOURNEY
The human, a mortal, bows down to the celestial light rays. Beckoning him to transport to the after-life. It will be his last mortal journey.
