It was an absolute thrill to create my second album artwork for Lance Gurisik’s PROFFER. This follow-up album to his Aria-nominated debut CULL PORTAL, was created so both sleeves have the same synergy. Yet while Cull Portal’s sound was dreamy contemporary Jazz, Proffer’s soundscapes is a diverse mix of electronica, minimalism and drum’n’bass beats, so the artworks suggests a more headier mix.

 

The front cover and inner sleeve images are connected: by placing the viewer on the plaza facing this way, (the strange egg-shaped portal on the cover) then turning behind you (the Brutalist cluster of buildings). The back cover is a collage of Eastern architecture vibes, wild flowers with ocean and sky, as the people gaze out from the platform.
